[mrtg] rateup and libpng.a error

I'm installed rrdtool-1.0.21, libpng-1.0.6, gd-1.7.3 and mrtg-2.8.12 on aix 4.3.2.
Tcompilation is ok. But when i did ./mrtg mrtg.cfg i'have the next result:

PROBLEM: rateup died from Signal 0
 with Exit Value 255 when doing router '172.16.0.2.8'
 code was 65280, retcode was . If this happens all the time,
 you should probably investigate the cause. :-)

exec(): 0509-036 Cannot load program .//rateup because of the following errors:
        0509-150   Dependent module libpng.a(shr.o) could not be loaded.
        0509-022 Cannot load module libpng.a(shr.o).
        0509-026 System error: A file or directory in the path name does not exist.

I already read the mailing list and i see the solution to verify the library PATH, but not change my problem.

Can you help me or give me information to solve this problem:

libpng.a is in /usr/local/lib
