Hi folks

I was wondering if anyone knew of any nice linux based tool that will ping a
range of IP addresses and return a list of machines contacted either via
hostname or IP..?

I will probably dive into perl and try and hack something together but just
wondered if anyone had invented the wheel already, so to speak.
