[mrtg] Re: PC speed

Hi,
	I monitor just under 300 access servers - mostly Ascend/Lucent MAXes -
on a machine with Solaris 8 and a PIII that's about 600 I think. Doesn't
take a lot.
	If you run your MRTG on Solaris, Linux, *BSD, or any other *nix
relative, you can use the Forks option to decrease the running time of a
given config file. Or if you're using Windows, you can categorize your
config file into separate files and run separate instances of mrtg. Or
you can run with longer intervals than the default 5 minutes, if none of
your bandwidths go anywhere near 100 Mbps and you're not overly
concerned with minute resolution.
