Hello everyone,
I try to visualize the traffic on a 128k leased line (2x 64k ISDN, Cisco 803
on both sides) with MRTG.
AFAIK, I should use the OIDs
1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.10.x (ifInOctets) and
1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.16.x (ifOutOctets)
with x somewhat between 1 and 5, according to the interface I would like to
monitor.
My problem:
Since the (64k-)B-channels (BR0:1 and BR0:2, which are up) are
sub-interfaces to the D-channel (BR0) and this interface is administratively
down, I couldn't get any information via snmp on this two OIDs.
I think the router doesn't give information to a subinterface if the
"boss-interface" is down, right?
Do I have any chance to monitor the traffic, even if the interface is
administratively down?
Thanks for any help.
