[mrtg] Cisco Local Director

I don't mean to beat a dead horse here but.......

I am having a hard time getting my LD to return data.

my LD has the following lines in the config

snmp-server host XXX.159.99.XXX
snmp-server enable traps
snmp-server community bobIsGod
no snmp-server contact
snmp-server location here

I have reviewed the archives and determined that my configuration should
work just fine.  However I get the response 'Timeout: No Response from
My-LD'  

Does any one have some suggestions that can lead me down the yellow
brick road?
