Two solutions:

1.  The CAR solution discussed in a separate thread for the past couple of
days/weeks/months.  This is a very blunt tool for this particular task.  But
if you have a particular question you want to ask, this is one way to do it.
2.  Use a different tool like flowscan or cflowd.  Flowscan, which uses
RRDTOOL on the backend, is probably preferred.

Does anybody knows how to configure MRTG (or RDDTool) to monitor protocol
usage on a serial port of a Cisco Router? Like for example a graph with the
usage of HTTP, FTP, Telnet, etc, etc.
