The URL will help you with the log format.
http://people.ee.ethz.ch/~oetiker/webtools/mrtg/logfile.html
I think the 3rd and 4th value that's passed to MRTG are used for 'Device
uptime' and 'Time/date of last update' therefore have no bearing on the
stats.

Subject: [mrtg] "0" are not in the log file
hi,
my data source for getting mem info is a simple bash script, which prints 4
lines
out (value1, value2, 0,0)
when I take a look at my mem log files from mrtg, I get something like that:
1007370697 37937152 95830016
1007370697 37937152 95830016 37937152 95830016
1007370674 38068224 95698944 38068224 95698944
1007370600 28551168 71774208 38068224 95698944
I know that I could get the data from snmp, but I
want to know why mrtg ignores my "0" output?
output from script:
# ./mem
37974016
95793152
0
0
