(Sorry if this is a repost)
I'm trying to read the 64 bit counters off a Cisco CSS 11052 (formerly known
as an Arrowpoint Content Switch). snmpwalk provides values, but all zeros
are being entered into the .rrd log file.
Here is the configuration for one of the interfaces:
### Interface 9 >> Descr: 'ethernet-9' | Name: '' | Ip: '' | Eth:
'00-10-58-01-66-be' ###
Target[192.168.10.10_ethernet-9]:
ap64ifInOctets\ethernet-9&ap64ifOutOctets\ethernet-9:**********@192
168.10.10:::::2
SetEnv[192.168.10.10_ethernet-9]: MRTG_INT_IP="" MRTG_INT_DESCR="ethernet-9"
MaxBytes[192.168.10.10_ethernet-9]: 125000000
Title[192.168.10.10_ethernet-9]: ethernet-9 -- vxTarget
PageTop[192.168.10.10_ethernet-9]: <H1>ethernet-9 -- vxTarget</H1>
<TABLE>
<TR><TD>System:</TD> <TD>vxTarget in Default</TD></TR>
<TR><TD>Maintainer:</TD> <TD>ArrowPoint Communications</TD></TR>
<TR><TD>Description:</TD><TD>ethernet-9 </TD></TR>
<TR><TD>ifType:</TD> <TD>Gigabit Ethernet (117)</TD></TR>
<TR><TD>ifName:</TD> <TD></TD></TR>
<TR><TD>Max Speed:</TD> <TD>125.0 MBytes/s</TD></TR>
</TABLE>
I ran MRTG with snpo debugging turned on, and receive the following result:
--snpo: (0) Descr crosscheck OK
--snpo: (1) Descr crosscheck OK
--snpo: (0) Confcache Match ethernet-9 -> .9
--snpo: (1) Confcache Match ethernet-9 -> .9
--snpo: SNMPGet from ********@192.168.10.10:::::2 --
ifDescr.9,ap64ifInOctets.9,ifDescr.9,ap64ifOutOctets.9
--snpo: SNMPfound -- 'ethernet-9', '#<unprintable BER type 0x81>',
'ethernet-9', '#<unprintable BER type 0x81>'
A snmpwalk (version 2c, community string, and mib tables in snmp.conf)
provides:
[dmcdonald at watchboy bin]$ snmpwalk 192.168.10.10 ap64ifInOctets -Os
ap64ifInOctets.1 = Counter64: 649038
ap64ifInOctets.2 = Counter64: 0
ap64ifInOctets.3 = Counter64: 0
ap64ifInOctets.4 = Counter64: 0
ap64ifInOctets.5 = Counter64: 79876983
ap64ifInOctets.6 = Counter64: 2756490528
ap64ifInOctets.7 = Counter64: 43316358
ap64ifInOctets.8 = Counter64: 0
ap64ifInOctets.9 = Counter64: 740008231
ap64ifInOctets.10 = Counter64: 0
ap64ifInOctets.11 = Counter64: 80880
I dug through BER.pm and there is no decoding specified for type 81. I
haven't been able to get a Sniffer trace to find out where this "81" comes
from.
Any suggestions for workarounds to enable collection of these stats would be
most welcome. Please copy me as well as the mail-list.
