the way that i have found best to get rid of the popping dos windows is to
schedule mrtg with the AT command, using the mrtg-at.bat file that I have
attached. This causes the pop up windows to stop, and it will always run.
Set it to run a file similar to the mrtg.bat file that is also attached, and
you will have no problems!

Subject: [mrtg] Converting MRTG into Windows services

Currently, I am using the autoexnt to convert (perl mrtg mrtg.cfg) to
becomes a service on Windows 2000 machine. It works but when the service
polling the data, it generate screens flickering (dos windows). It is cause
by the program not running as a true background service.

Has any one tried the MRTG Statistic Updater for WinNT from
http://www.queso.com/mrtgstatupdater.htm on the Windows 2000 machine. Is
there any screen flickering around.
