Two options:

1.  Upgrade to 12.1.5T or 12.1.5E (one of the many varients) where new
ifindex entries were added to the mib - it might have been 12.1.3E when it
was first introduced, but I know that 5aE4 has it.

2.  Use CAR and hack it that way - see my CAR page at
http://www.geocities.com/dmcdonald for a sample.
