You need to make sure that you have snmpd running on the box that you are
monitoring.  You'll need to consult the documentation on how to set that
up if you haven't already.

Once you have snmpd running on the linux box, do an snmpwalk on the
command line.

snmpwalk public 127.0.0.1 .1.3.6.1.2.1.25.2.3.1.6.101

and make sure you get a result.  You may want to verify the OID.
We use .1.3.6.1.4.1.2021.4.11.0 with ucd-snmp (now net-snmp).  consult the
various mibs to verify.
