[mrtg] max speed x maxbytes

 Greetings everybody !

   I've noticed that cfgmaker generates the Max speed information in
different ways (bytes/Kb/Mb) as shown...
  
      <TR><TD>Max Speed:</TD>  <TD>8000.0 Bytes/s</TD></TR>
      <TR><TD>Max Speed:</TD>  <TD>16.0 kBytes/s</TD></TR>
      <TR><TD>Max Speed:</TD>  <TD>12.5 MBytes/s</TD></TR>

    Here are my doubts ...

    why do we have this variation ? Is there a way to fix one of these
values ? (KB, for example)

   Are these values used only for description purposes or in  monitoring as
well (as  "MaxBytes") ?
