Just a wild guess from a perl hacker (me) but maybe if you try
Password\!@172.16.2.2
(note the \ in front of the @.) This is required before an @ and a " in
perl so it is not taken as a perl command but as text. I figured this out
be hacking the MRTG Script to suit my own specific needs.

Howdy all. I have an issue I'm curious if anyone else has
encountered or worked around...
# cfgmaker pAssWoRd!@172.16.2.2 > routerlocation.cfg
Just seems to get me:
@172.16.2.2: Event not found.
Seems the ! is taking out the rest of the command somehow. I
have a whole mess of devices to add, so I'm hoping I won't have to
write nor edit the .cfg files by 'hand'...
Any thoughts?
Thanks in advance,
Mark Smith
