I got it to work be commenting out the if statement and the } following
ECHO, so that everything now echos and I make it say what I want. I'm doing
this because I ALWAYS want several certain globals and it's a way to not
have to type them in every time. But now I may be breaking some very minor
functionality, I think.

Looking at the code, it looks like the intention was to have the stuff
between the ECHOs show up in the created config file to let someone know
that they need to define these options. But, for some reason it doesn't
work. I don't think it was intended to be modified in order to set
permanent defaults. To do that just use the --global options whenever you
call cfgmaker.
