[mrtg] Logging

Hi:
In prior versions of mrtg, such as 2.9.4, if you were running mrtg as a
daemon it would not log. Has this changed in the newer releases? We got
around this by doing the following when we called mrtg
/usr/bin/nohup /usr/local/mrtg/bin/mrtg /home/mrtg/main.conf
The error output would be captured in nohup.out. That's a function of
using nohup however. This seems to cause problems when we try and start
newer versions of mrtg however. I'd like to upgrade to a newer version of
mrtg, however, I need to be able to capture any daemon messages. Will
2.9.10 do logging to syslog?
Has anyone found a solution to this? Thanks,
Brian Seppanen
