[mrtg] how to control graph output with limits ?????

I have graphs that are being created using mrtg-ping-probe and mrtg.
Whenever a ping skyrockets it throws the rest of the graph out of wack.
I need to see the normal details and limit or exclude the graphing of
excessively high values.

Are there options to do this such as Unscaled,  AbsMax and MaxBytes, etc????
