I have been using the mrtg-scheduler in the contrib directory:
http://ee-staff.ethz.ch/~oetiker/webtools/mrtg/pub/contrib/ It installs as
a NT service with a easy gui interface to setup where your mrtg.cfg file is
and perl. The only thing I have noticed is that you have to set your screen
saver to less than 5min otherwise it will never come on.

Another good way to rid yourself of that rateup window is to schedule MRTG
with the AT command. I have created a batch file that runs MRTG, and have
scheduled it with AT at 5 minute intervals. I even created a script to
schedule the AT events that tells MRTG to run every 5 minutes. It works
great with no problems. The AT scheduled events are written such that they
do not get removed even upon rebooting. If anyone would like the batch
files, I could email them to ya, since attachments are not allowed here. Or
I could post them on a site somewhere aswell.

Hope that helps!!
