I don't think you understand thenature of a serial data line.  128K lines
are full-duplex, not additive.  It's 128K in each direction.  The total
of in and out might be interesting for some form of statistics, but has
nothing to do with the line functioning.

In other words, you can have 128K in and 128K out at the same time.
A 128K line doesn't mean that in + out total is limited to 128K.  Traffic
in one direction doesn't affect the traffic or capacity in the other
direction.
