Hello all,

I have just downloaded 2.9.7 and am compiling it on a RH6.1 machine and I am
having problems. When I type ./configure I get:

creating cache ./config.cache
checking for gcc... gcc
checking whether the C compiler (gcc ) works... yes
checking whether the C compiler (gcc ) is a cross-compiler... no
checking whether we are using GNU C... yes
checking whether gcc accepts -g... yes
checking how to run the C preprocessor... gcc -E
checking whether make sets ${MAKE}... yes
checking for a BSD compatible install... /usr/bin/install -c
checking for perl... /usr/bin/perl
checking for groff... /usr/bin/groff
checking for sqrt in -lm... yes
checking for acos in -lm... yes
checking for gdImageGif in -lgd... yes
checking for gdImagePng in -lgd... no
checking for gd.h... yes
checking the weather... (cached) its fine
updating cache ./config.cache
creating ./config.status
creating Makefile
ordering CD from http://ee-staff.ethz.ch/~oetiker/wish ... just kidding ;-)

Config is DONE!

Type 'make' to compile the software

... that wishlist mentioned above does really exist. So if
you feel like showing your appreciation for MRTG, this is the
place to go. I just love CDs and DVDs

                            -- Tobi Oetiker <oetiker at ee.ethz.ch>

Then I type make and get:

LD_RUN_PATH= gcc -DGFORM_GD=gdImageGif -g -O2 src/rateup.c -lgd -lm -o
/usr/bin/perl -0777 -pi -e 's@^#!\s*/\S*perl@#! /usr/bin/perl@' bin/cfgmaker
bin/indexmaker bin/mrtg
/usr/bin/perl -0777 -pi -e 's at GRAPHFMT="...";@GRAPHFMT="gif";@' bin/mrtg

However it never makes a "run" directory. Am I doing something wrong?

Thanks in advance,
