[mrtg] Thresholds

Greetings !!  Can anyone tell me how are established the variables
ThreshMaxI and ThreshMaxO and how are passed to ThreshProgI and ThrshProgO?
I am trying to get the thresholds checking to send me an email when a
certain value is reached. I am using mrtg-2.9.2 on NT 4.0.  Thanks.
