Hi all,

I seem to have problem with an mrtg config file, when trying to monitor
the cpu on a remote W2k server. The following target statement works
fine if target and MRTG are on the same machine:

Target[SERVER_CPU1]:
.1.3.6.1.2.1.25.3.3.1.2/127.0.0.1&.1.3.6.1.2.1.25.3.3.1.2/127.0.0.1:public at localhost

But if I try to monitor a remote server using:

Target[SERVER_CPU1]:
.1.3.6.1.2.1.25.3.3.1.2/10.3.1.25&.1.3.6.1.2.1.25.3.3.1.2/10.3.1.25:public at tsm1mt0301

I received:

SNMP Error:
Received SNMP response with error code
 error status: noSuchName
 index 1 (OID: 1.3.6.1.2.1.25.3.3.1.2)
SNMPv1_Session (remote host: "tsm1mt0301" [10.3.1.25].161)
                 community: "public"
                request ID: 251399000
               PDU bufsize: 8000 bytes
                   timeout: 2s
                   retries: 5
                   backoff: 1)
SNMPGET Problem for .1.3.6.1.2.1.25.3.3.1.2 .1.3.6.1.2.1.25.3.3.1.2
sysUptime sy
sName on public at tsm1mt0301

The oid works with getif polling the remote.

Is there a special way to define target with monitoring a remote
server???

Thanks in advance,

Francois Meehan
