I don't see why not...
I have a cfg. It is Included in two different master configs. One master has specific information for mrtg/rateup, the other has information for rrdtool and 14all. Works great, and has been for almost 2 months now.

I just made a separate cfg file that uses mrtg file format and life goes
on..... Still evaluating the script for accuracy
