I also have this working.

### mainscript.cfg ###
Default commands for MRTG/Rateup
Include: Devices.cfg


### rrdmain.cfg ###
Default commands for RRDTool
Include: Devices.cfg

### Devices.cfg ###
Include: All-my-device-specific-scripts.cfg
Include: blah-blah.cfg
etc
etc


There are two main reasons why I did this.

1)  I didn't want to stop collecting info in MRTG when I started using
RRDTool.
2)  I didn't want to maintain two scripts (one each for mrtg & rrd) that had
the same targets.

Using my Daemon I execute a batch file that has the following lines...

perl mrtg mainscript.cfg
perl mrtg rrdmain.cfg
