   ActiveState released PerlEx 2.0, software that lets you use Perl more
efficiently on a Windows-based Web server by lowering Web page delivery
times and decreasing the CPU load. The software reduces the load on your
server by running Perl scripts as threads instead of independent
processes. PerlEx 2.0 runs on Windows 2000 and Windows NT systems and
costs $395 per CPU.
