[mrtg] Newbie Help for 3Com Switch

Hi all, 
     New to the group and MRTG so please be gentle...

I have been given the task to set up MRTG on a USRobotics TotalSwitch
and was looking for some configuration help.
The switch has 4 10BaseT 8 Port cards installed
I found the OID's from searching online
My data being recorded seems way too low....
Is there something I am missing here?
