Why do you bother with this approach ? It would be far easier if you write a
little script that query these OIDs, do the substraction, and returns four
lines :
value 1
value 2
0
0

Then, in your Target, put the script.

Subject: [mrtg] oids and multi target syntax

Hey,

I'm still looking for an example of a working cfg that uses oids and
multitarget syntax
i.e. something like
Target[test]: .1.3.6.1.4.1.2021.4.5.0:public at localhost -
.1.3.6.1.4.1.2021.4.6.0:public at localhost &
.1.3.6.1.4.1.2021.4.5.0:public at localhost -
.1.3.6.1.4.1.2021.4.6.0:public at localhost

Note the minus signs in there. I need to get a value of used memory, but
the only oids that i can find are "total memory" and "free memory". The
Configuration reference page indicates that this can be done with multi
target syntax, but when I try it, in many different combinations, I either
get 0's in the log file, or the error
WARNING: Could not match host:'public at localhost' ref:'' key:''

I know the oids are returning the correct type of values, because I've
checked them with snmpget and I can graph the values seperately in MRTG.
i.e. Green = Total
