[mrtg] problems with unreachable hosts

Hallo *,

i've got a problem with mrtg. If a host is unreachable (the WAN Link goes down), the graph shows a zero line and after the host is reachable again, the graph has a peak value, as if every traffic that happend in the meantime is counted for the first time period the host is reachable again.
I use mrtg-2.9.17.

Any hint?
