[mrtg] OID confusion

I checked the FAQ but didn't see an answer to this. Can MRTG be used to
graph non-interface items. I need to keep track of a few NetApps F740
and F760. I'd like to check the NFS and RAID info that I've been able to
see from using snmpwalk. I've tried to get cfgmaker to poll these items
but it seems to have problems. It is using ifWalk but these are not if
devices. I'm most likely just not putting the OID numbers in right. I
find the MRTG page covering the Target[]: syntax to be a bit sparse.
What is the significance of the values between the []??

Has anyone else used MRTG to track disk stats via SNMP for a NetApps
device and could you give a newbie a few pointers.
