You can find NetApp MRTG support on my web site (www.wtcs.org/snmp4tpc) in
the Management/MRTG section. Look at the top (under MRTG config files), you
will see NetApp selection.

FYI - NetApp also publishes a MIB (netapp.mib) that allows some monitoring
as well. The scripts config files in the downloads provide for stats not
accessible through the mib. Make sure you download the correct MIB for your
version of DataONTAP (check the OS release notes).

I have them as well, on my web:

v1.01 - www.wtcs.org/snmp4tpc/files/mibs/netapp/filer/mib101.zip
v1.1.0 - www.wtcs.org/snmp4tpc/files/mibs/netapp/filer/mib110.zip
v1.1.1 - www.wtcs.org/snmp4tpc/files/mibs/netapp/filer/mib111.zip
v1.1.2 - www.wtcs.org/snmp4tpc/files/mibs/netapp/filer/mib112.zip
v1.1.3 - www.wtcs.org/snmp4tpc/files/mibs/netapp/filer/mib113.zip
v1.1.4 - www.wtcs.org/snmp4tpc/files/mibs/netapp/filer/mib114.zip
v1.2 - www.wtcs.org/snmp4tpc/files/mibs/netapp/filer/mib12.zip

Note that v1.2 is supported by DataONTAP 5.4 and above.

These are hidden links. I have not "nicely" added them yet. Soon.

I hope this helps others who are looking for SNMP and MRTG support of these
systems!

Garth

Subject: [mrtg] OID confusion

I checked the FAQ but didn't see an answer to this. Can MRTG be used to
graph non-interface items. I need to keep track of a few NetApps F740
and F760. I'd like to check the NFS and RAID info that I've been able to
see from using snmpwalk. I've tried to get cfgmaker to poll these items
but it seems to have problems. It is using ifWalk but these are not if
devices. I'm most likely just not putting the OID numbers in right. I
find the MRTG page covering the Target[]: syntax to be a bit sparse.
What is the significance of the values between the []??

Has anyone else used MRTG to track disk stats via SNMP for a NetApps
device and could you give a newbie a few pointers.
