GD is very easy to install if you are using AcivePerl from
www.activestate.com . Infact I would recommend using it because most perl
modules are easy to install and are packaged. All you have to do is go to
the command prompt and type: PPM
then type: install GD
then type: install GDGraph
(if you have problems type: Help)
now you are done
If you take some time, it is not hard to modify perl scripts to run on NT. I
love my AIX, but there is no reason to rebuild all your boxes OS just to run
perl. The main problems you will face with running scripts on NT usually
involve simply modifying pathing.

Thanks Grendel,

The GD Lib is required for the RRDbar cgi to draw the bar itself.

MRTG / RRDtool is running fine.

Hello,
At the risk of inciting a flame war, I would personally recommend
wiping Windows NT and installing
some variety of either Linux, FreeBSD, or Solaris. This is not necessarily a
I-hate-windows issue.
The installation process for gd is better documented for those operating
systems, that's all.
Barring that, the libgd homepage has very brief instructions for
Windows:

http://www.boutell.com/gd/#buildgd

I'm guessing however that gd is not what you need. The MRTG homepage
has installation instructions
for Windows NT. Win32 collectively refers to all 32 bit varieties of
Windows, which means everything
including Windows 95 and afterwards.

http://people.ee.ethz.ch/~oetiker/webtools/mrtg/nt-guide.html

You should really check the homepage first to see if the answer to
your question is there. If there
is something about the homepage instructions that you do not understand, it
would help us to help
you if you stated clearly what part of the instructions you did not
understand. I used mrtg for a
long time before I even knew that mrtg itself is written in Perl, so Perl
knowledge is not necessary
in order to use it.

Best regards,
James
