[mrtg] Ok, let me have it, what am I doing wrong?

I am making the slow change to mrtg on Linux and am having a "wonderful"
(read sucky) time at it.
(my mrtg works great on NT with rrd, but I want to integrate it with
Bigbrother...in case you were wondering)
1) my cfgmaker script (tried adding --snmp-options=::1:1::2 as well to
it
cfgmaker --global "WorkDir: /var/www/html/mrtg/linux" --global "Options[_]:
growright,bits" question at 127.0.0.1 > mrtg2.cfg
(made sure that is was all on the same line)
Made sure of the following:
* MRTG v2.9.12 works (see below)
* Perl is current (see below)
* I could do an snmpwalk manually (see below)
* Snmpd is running
