[mrtg] Server Specs.

Could someone give me some basic server specs for an MRTG server that can
scale to 10,000 interfaces? What hardware should I spec out for this
project?

Right now I have a PIII 600 desktop w/ 384meg RAM and 20gig ultra 66 IDE
drive. It seems to have reached its limit at 2300 interfaces.

I'm not running RRDTool. I tried installing it, and I got it working, but it
made the whole setup process pretty difficult. While I can struggle my way
through it, I have to leave this setup here and others have to admin it, and
basic MRTG will be hard enough for them.

I'm running RedHat 7.1, btw.

It seems to me I would need a PIII 800 with some fast SCSI drives. Maybe
only 384 ram..  maybe 512...

What does everyone think on this?
