[mrtg] Question about the gauge option?

So it sounds like I want to use the gauge option. But I can't do
this because of the ever growing counter that I'm dealing with. I
wrote a perl script that keeps track of the last value and when a new
value comes in, it simply subtracts one from the other. The result
is the number of emails that were sent in that last reporting period.
Now I can use the gauge option. I'm using it now and it is logging
the exact data I want with the gauge option, however it seem like its
still plotting the averages column. Here is the data file:

<time> 0 0
<time> 0 0 0 0
<time> 0 0 0 2
<time> 0 2 0 5
<time> 0 4 0 5
<time> 0 0 0 1
<time> 0 0 0 0

So right now it looks like the second column is the one being plotted
when I want the far right to be the one to be plotted. The far right
column does indeed contain the exact data I want. Is there any way
to do this or am I getting out of the bounds of mrtg? Thanks for the
help everyone.
