[mrtg] SNMPGet Problem

Hello 

I am getting an error message from MRTG that says

SNMPGET problem for ifInOctets.1 ifOutOctets.1 sysUptime sysName on
public at 150.6.2.1: at mrtg line 1491
WARNING: Expected a number but got ' '

I have seen messages about this before, but could not find one in the
archives.  Could someone please advise.
