[mrtg] Monitoring the server traffic

Hi everybody !!!

Firstly, I have to say I'm far to be an expert in the use of MRTG. I know
it's a tool for monitoring the network links, but I have a question: is it
possible to set up the MRTG to monitor the server traffic on its interface
card ??? What are the requisites in the configuration ???
For example, I need to know what the traffic in and out are being passed
through a NIC of a given server.
