Have you tried adding "perl" at the front of the Target just inside the
opening bracket? I know I need that with windoze, I don't know about unix.
If that doesn't help, try (1) running the mrtg-ping-probe statement from the
command line without mrtg and (2) running mrtg on this cfg file from the
command line. Proper output from (1) should be 2 integers. For (2), MRTG has
pretty good error output when run at the command line. I am wondering if
those curly quotes are a problem, or if they're just from your email
program.
