[mrtg] Merging Log Files

We did some upgrades to a couple eof switches, and during the upgrade
started MRTG monitoring them while the old switches were still in service,
thus creating two sets of logfiles. Then the switches were shut off (a few
months apart) as the new ones took over service. At the time no thought was
given to wanting the logfiles combined.

Now the logfiles need to be combined to include all the historical data for
a couple of the interfaces into one graph.

So I have two logfiles, one that is current, and one that stopped being
updated several months ago. How do I merge these logfiles together without
MRTG rejecting them with invalid data? I found a merge script on the MRTG
contributions page, but it seems to assume that both logfiles are updated at
the same timestamps.

If anyone can help, it'd be greatly appreciated!
