[mrtg] Message

Hi all,
I always get this message when i use
./mrtg mrtg.cfg

ERROR: I guess another mrtg is running. A lockfile (mrtg.cfg_l) aged
115 seconds is hanging around. If you are sure that no other mrtg
is running you can remove the lockfile

And I see that there are some file adding :
-rw-r--r--   2 mrtg     users           0 May 21 14:34 mrtg.cfg_l
-rw-r--r--   1 mrtg     users           0 May 21 14:33 mrtg.cfg_l_2968
-rw-r--r--   2 mrtg     users           0 May 21 14:34 mrtg.cfg_l_2993
-rw-r--r--   1 mrtg     users           0 May 21 14:32 mrtg.cfg_l_3006

What is it mean, it not like that before ?
