[mrtg] problems gathering statistics from squid

hello,
I try to gather statistics from squid. I have read the squid.html file and
written my configuration file according to it. I have two problems:
1.  i have the following error message: 
WARNING: "MaxBytes[proxy-hits]" not specified.
ERROR: please fix the error(s) in your config file
2. I set maxBytes values to 10000 to pass this error and i have the following
error:
Unknown SNMP var cacheHttpHits
Unknown SNMP var cacheClientHttpRequest
Unknown SNMP var cacheServerInKb
Unknown SNMP var cacheServerOutKb

would you tell me whats my problam please?
