I think you should first think what is acceptable, and only then
try to automate checking on it.

I can't say you should set ThreshMinI to 10 (or whatever number)
as this may not be an appropriate number in your case.

It also depends on what kind of counter you're monitoring.  If you're
monitoring a thermometer in a computerroom, I guess you should set
ThreshMaxI to 25. However, if you're monitoring email messages per
second, 25 may be a bit too much ...  Similarly, while 15 may be
a good minimum value in one case, it may be way too much in another.

To make things more complicated, your threshold checking program
may need certain values.  For instance, you could trigger that
program if traffic on your LAN is more than 1mbps and let the
script decide if it is worth paging the admin.
