[mrtg] mrtg 2.9.12a peaks???

I have Telindus HS modems which are limited for our clients to 64K -
leased line.
>From time to time MRTG shows peaks that go more than 100K.

Is that MRTG 'feature' (bug?) or there really is more traffic than it
should be?
