my external scripts "stat.cmd" collect data without use SNMP

In UNIX-box
string: Target[coexist]: `stat.cmd` - working
in Win2K-box - receive specified error
" WARNING: Problem with External get 'stat.cmd':
  Expected a Number for 'in' but got ''  "

How to work external scripts exactly on Win2k-WinNT platform ?
Which is specific with ` symbol ?
