What not just put the log files back? You shouldn't need anything special to join the old and new files.

What are you doing to the log file to keep chronology?

Hi!

I had my mrtg "well configured" until somebody (f*** him!!) moved my
log files.

I've try to cat oldmrtg.log >> newmrtg.log, but it doesn"t work.
I've try to modify the newmrtg.log i've just created to keep the
chronology, but I haven't succeded.

Can anybody tell me how to do, our where to look to find the way to
rescue my old logs ???
