Thanks. I've tried this and it works perfectly. It is rather intresting that your reply was the only and single reply  to my question. I admit I am not a programmer, and for sure not a perl programmer. I thing it would be good to have some better instructions HOW to enable debugging.

My real problem is that I am calling a shell script (Linux) that obviously produce the correct value, according to what I can see when I enable qw(base) in the mrtg program. But still there is not correct values printed in the graph. The script runs every 5 minte and always produce a value of

0
7-11

But nothing is put in to the graph. What is the method for debugging the problem  ?
