Does snmp know to keep track of the mib information?

What happens if you do an snmpwalk? Do you get any
mib information? You have to modify the snmp.conf to
tell your system to keep track of squid stats.

Hi,

i want to monitor a squid.
So I folloewd the instructions from
http://people.ee.ethz.ch/~oetiker/webtools/mrtg/squid.html (added MaxBytes),
grabbed the squid MIB from squid's source tree, but the only thing I get is:

SNMP Error:
Received SNMP response with error code
  error status: noSuchName
  index 2 (OID: 1.3.6.1.4.1.3495.1.5.2.1.2)
SNMPv1_Session (remote host: "proxy.dom.ain" [x.x.x.x].1111)
                  community: "public"
                 request ID: 1152789179
                PDU bufsize: 8000 bytes
                    timeout: 2s
                    retries: 5
                    backoff: 1)
SNMPGET Problem for cacheHttpHits cacheClientHttpRequests on

The squid is compiled with snmp support, and the acls in squid.conf are
correct, I guess.
the MIB is loaded in mrtg.cfg.

Any hints?

Thank you,
Rainer
