Now go and read some more docs, for instance the FAQ.
Using the search field from faq.mrtg.org looking for snmpwalk produces
a link to faq entry #022.  This already explains your problem and it has
a link to #023 which explains it even further.

The search box can be found by going to http://faq.mrtg.org/ and then
