You'd probably use xntpd. Beware, configuring the daemon is not too
hard however it helps to have some knowledge of NTP. At least make
sure you have your time zone set properly, else it won't work as you
expect.
On linux do a "date -u" to display UTC time. It should match UTC
time on other boxes including mine. This currently is:
Tue Oct 16 10:42:35 UTC 2001
If the server is open for any clients, you can set "host aaa.bbb.ccc.ddd"
in the /etc/ntp.conf file to query that server.
For more information on NTP there are various sources, including
a newsgroup.
