Alex,

Just because you wake up a quarter of the way around the world
from me, you get to do the fun stuff?

Seriously folks, I completely agree with Alex. I know I am really
burned out on the stuff I have going on. I'm sure everyone is
on edge not only from the recent events, but also from the increase
in cyber-attack activity as well. This has put me on 24 hour alert.
Not fun when you work for a bank. Or really anyone employed as
any kind of system admin (which most of us probably are).

Think 4 or 5 times before flaming. Even if it is to the individual. Pays
pecial attention to keep flames off the list. Hopefully Alex and I can
go back to just being people that add value to the MRTG community,
like everyone else here.

Paul

Ladies and Gentlemen,

It seems this is a time where many people get a bit too
frustrated. A lot is going on in the world, a lot is
going on in the economy and this seems to reflect on the
behaviour of some.

While I do have some consideration, especially because I
know how hard it is not to type that enter-->send combination,
I feel it is now time to send out a warning. This warning
has nothing to do with replies that were sent to me, are sent
to me or will be sent to me. It is about sending it to the
list.

If you feel the urge to flame somebody then rethink. If you
still feel that urge, make *very* sure you don't include the
list when you are sending your message. Again: best is to
not send the message at all.

Until yesterday/today there was no need to actually use the
power given to me (and Paul). There is now, and I will. If
I abuse that power, you can write to Tobi about it.

If you feel this message is inappropriate you may respond to
me, in private, or you may send your remarks to Paul or Tobi.
Responses to this message send to the list better include a
very constructive remark, if you get my drift.

I'm really sorry I have to write this.

regards,
Alex
