Chad,

I use BB extensively.  NetSaint isn't a viable option right now, only 
because no new development is happening from the author. I had 
heard he was working on a product under a different name with no 
duplicated code.  Something about some other product with the 
same name that had nothing to do with what he did.  Anyway, 
I digress...

BB does support SNMP, both through snmpget and snmptraps.  I also 
has a module that watches log and rrd files.  Very flexible indeed.

A friend turned me on to Big Brother yesterday. The program looks really
cool and useful. I wanted to see if you all thought it was worth
implementing or if I should use a program such as NetSaint. From what I can
tell, Big Brother provides some useful functionality but it doesn't support
SNMP.
 
Any thoughts or comments would be appreciated.
