I'm seeing an awful lot of messages to this list that are not about MRTG per se but rather
reflect a complete ignorance of SNMP.
If you'll look at a book, you could try _The Simple Book_ by Marshall Rose.
Online for RFCs, MIB-II is the one that defines the standard variables MRTG is monitoring.
